About This Guide

This guide is a checklist of art and art history online resources that includes both subscription databases restricted to Boston University faculty, students, and staff as well as selected open access digital collections and websites.

Boston University Libraries Search (BULS) is one of the largest databases. A search produces results that include print books and ebooks, full-text journal articles, images, and many other material types.

"Filter My Results" are used to further define a search topic.

"Sign In" with your BU login.  Signing in lets you request unavailable books directly from BULS by clicking a Request button.
"Sign in" also works with Worldcat Discovery.

Proquest  Ebook Central and  Project Muse are searchable book collection databases recommended for art history. BULS search results include the ebooks in these collections.

WorldCat Discovery lets you search for books and other materials that are both in and beyond Boston University Libraries.  Requests for Interlibrary Loan materials can be made here.
