About this Guide

This guide offers suggestions on how to find books and articles on Italian Renaissance buildings.  The encyclopedia, Grove Art Online, provides background material on the architects, their  buildings, and three cities where their buildings are located: Rome, Florence, and Venice.   The Internet Archive is the resource for digital editions of the treatises on architecture by Palladio, Serlio, and Alberti.
