Stock or Generic Images
The sites below are very good for generic, or 'stock' images, such as an urban or country scene, groups of students studying, abstract images for background and so on. Many images do not even require attribution, but it is good practice to do so. They do not usually include specific images, such as artworks, detailed maps, photos of notable people etc, because they will be under copyright, so you will need to use other image sources, which are provided in the other pages of this guide.
