Images - BU Subscribed Databases
This section groups together some excellent sources for specific images such as artworks, which BU subscribes to. For each of these you will need to enter your BU credentials to access, which is the first half of your BU email up to the @ symbol, then your usual password.
Please click into the logo image for each resource to access.
Access is provided by BU, but you will need to register separately on the site to download and save images.
BU has an institutional license to access the site, but it is advisable to read the Editorial and Image policies, found here: Terms & Conditions
AP Press Images Collection (within Ebsco Host) offers access to recent and historical images. The landing page has various pre-set search options: choose "Photo" under Source Type and you can then choose the time period and subject area. You can also choose your own search terms using the fields at the top of the screen.
BU Subject Guide for images
The subject guide Finding and Using Images contains a wide array of sources for images, including maps, people, adverts and so on. Many of the sources will of course cite US copyright law, but we need only adhere to UK rules, since copyright applies to the country in which the materials are being used.
