In 1989, Mozambique is a country engulfed in civil war. The film centers around a dangerous & risky cross border journey by train that connects Nampula (Mozambique) to Malawi. Most civilian passengers risking their lives to exchange few bags of salt for sugar are both protected and harassed by a troop of ill-disciplined soldiers on board to fight off a rebel army in the bush. The film described by its director as “African Western” won various awards in different categories at International film festivals including Joburg Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, Cairo Film Festival & Carthage Film.
