How to Locate Permalinks

New York Times website

The New York Times does not have permalinks in the same way as most academic databases. Students can access the New York Times with the BU Academic Group Pass. Once signed into NYT.com with their free student account, students *should* be able to access articles using the link in the URL bar, though it is a good idea to include other citation information to allow students to search for the article themselves in case the link expires.

New York Times via Gale+

The New York Times is available from 1985 to present via Gale+. To link articles from Gale, click the Get Link icon on the upper right side of the article screen.

New York Times via ProQuest

The New York Times is available from 2008 to present via ProQuest Recent Newspapers. Older articles are available in ProQuest Historic Newspapers, and the process of copying permalinks should look similar. To copy a permalink, click the Copy URL icon on the upper right side of the article screen.
