Translation Studies at BU
- BU - MFA in Literary Translation The Master of Fine Arts in Literary Translation is a new one-year program beginning Fall 2020. The Program is officially housed in the Department of World Languages & Literatures, with active involvement of faculty from BU’s distinguished departments of Romance Studies, Classical Studies, Creative Writing and English.
- BU Translation Seminar Boston University has a long tradition of translation that dates back nearly forty years. Since 1981, the BU Translation Seminar has been offered every spring, featuring lectures by prominent literary translators. Translation classes and workshops are also offered in German, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Chinese, and Spanish. The University sponsors annual translation prizes and a considerable number of BU faculty practice translation themselves.
- Translation Now conference at BU (Sept 28-29, 2018) The Translation Now conference, hosted at BU in September 2018, brought together translators from around the world to discuss current issues of translation. Recorded presentations are available on the site.
