Avery Obituary Index of Architects and Artists, 2d ed 1980. Citations of obituaries published in newspapers (mainly the New York Times) and journals. Predominantly American and English architects of the 19th and 20th centuries. Obituaries of artists included until 1960 are not in the 2nd edition. The database, Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, includes citations to obituaries; limit search to "Obituary."
