About This Guide

This guide will help you locate the many resources in the BU collections related to social work. 

The Social Work Librarian, Lucy Flamm, is also available to support the social work community through one-on-one appointments and workshops, including: 

  • Accessing, navigating, and using library resources (books, online articles, and specialized databases)
  • Learning techniques for evaluating source material and conducting research
  • Knowledge management for scholarly success (managing notes, data, and findings)

To make an appointment, email Lucy at LFlamm@BU.edu. Meetings, appointments, and workshops can be either on the Charles River campus or virtual.

This database offers access to articles, books and book chapters, and dissertations that cover the scholarly literature in the psychological, social, behavioral, and health sciences. Includes a multitude of scholarly material of relevance to social work practitioners and researchers.
