About This Guide
This guide is dedicated to connecting you with information about the histories, experiences, and cultures of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. 2SLGBTQIA+ is an acronym which stands for:
2S: Two-Spirit
L: Lesbian
G: Gay
B: Bisexual
T: Transgender
Q: Queer or Questioning
I: Intersex
A: Asexual
+: “+” stands for all of the other identities not encompassed in the short acronym.
The LGBTQIA Resource Center at UC Davis created a Glossary of terms and definitions. In their words, "terms and definitions . . . are always evolving, changing and often mean different things to different people. They are provided below as a starting point for discussion and understanding."
