Center for Gender, Sexuality, and Activism: The Center for Gender, Sexuality, and Activism (CGSA) at Boston University is a resource center that strives to give voice to institutionally marginalized groups through an intersectional approach to activism and education. Using a social justice framework, the CGSA aims to end gender oppression and violence, and advocates for the full equality and inclusion of women, queer and trans students.
The BU Out List LGBTQIA+ identified faculty and staff are invited to join the BU Out List to share their expertise, support, and guidance. Students are encouraged to use the list to find LGBTQIA+ mentors and connect with the wealth of resources our faculty & staff provide.
Boston University Medical Campus OUT & Ally List This is a public list of clinicians, faculty, practitioners, researchers, staff, students, and trainees across BUMC and BMC who identify as LGBTQ+ or as allies for the LGBTQ+ community. The primary mission of the OUT & Ally List is to serve as a resource for BUMC LGBTQ+ students seeking mentorship, guidance, or academic and non-academic support. Additionally, the List enables BUMC community members to build connections and network around LGBTQ+ issues more broadly.
BU Medical Campus Pride Our organization showcases the diversity of the students, faculty, and staff at the medical campus and joins the network of many other lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) organizations within the Boston University system and the surrounding community. The primary goal of BUMC Pride is to provide a safe, supportive environment for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff.
LGBTQIA+ Faculty & Staff Community Network We seek to promote a deeper sense of community and celebrate identity among LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff across Boston University. We have 133 members as of February 2021 and are excited to continue to grow our network.
LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff Boston University’s LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff serves all Boston University (BU) campuses. The Center engages the BU community to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness for LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff; increase the visibility of LGBTQIA+ resources, research, and scholarship; celebrate the contributions of the diverse LGBTQIA+ community at BU; and improve recruitment and retention of LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff in the development of an inclusive and equitable workplace.
Self-Guided D&I Learning Toolkits on Gender & Sexuality Understand Gender and Sexuality topics and learn how to advance conversations around gender equity and how to support the LGBTQIA+ community. This toolkit was curated in partnership with the BU LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty and Staff.
Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies Program The Boston University Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGS) Program fosters interdisciplinary research and teaching related to the intersections of gender, sexuality, race, citizenship status, disability, and other dimensions of social life that sustain and exacerbate systems of inequality. We seek to understand the ways in which our bodies, social and cultural experiences, and imaginative constructions affect what it means to be a gendered and sexual self across a diverse array of temporal, cultural, and geographic contexts.
BMC Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery In 2016 BMC established the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery. With the unified structure, patients have a single point of contact for their care needs. We are the first center in New England to provide such a comprehensive program and we are a national leader in delivery of gender affirming care.
Faculty & Staff Assistance Office LGBTQIA+ resources for employees The FSAO is available to provide sensitive and confidential emotional support and assistance to faculty and staff grappling with personal or work-related concerns related to sexual orientation or gender identity.
Trans Listening Circle Trans Listening Circle (TLC) is a weekly-meeting club for people who are trans, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, questioning, and more. The topics discussed at meetings include gender, self-expression, and real-world problems as they relate to members of the Boston University community.

Gender-Affirming Product Program (Queer Activist Collective') TGNCI students looking for gender-affirming products can obtain a free product through the Queer Activist Collective (Q), via their Gender-Affirming Product Program. GAPP opens for a month and a half each semester.
Gender-Affirming Healthcare (Student Health Services) Student Health Services (SHS) is committed to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to transgender and non-binary students. Our providers and staff are dedicated to affirming healthcare practices that create an inclusive and supportive environment. We utilize the Informed Consent Model of Care in an effort to reduce the barriers to medical transition.
BU Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Center (SARP) The Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Center (SARP) compassionately responds to survivors of trauma and prevents interpersonal violence through awareness and education.
