Troubleshooting Tips

While Leganto is known to function perfectly well most of the time, there are a few occasions where you may need to do some troubleshooting.
Browser Type: The majority of Leganto access problems seem to be caused by the user's web browser. Sarafi is known to be one of the most problematic browsers for Leganto users.
Possible solutions for Leganto issues:
  1. Try restarting your device.
  2. Use a completely different browser.
  3. Clear Your Browser Cache and try logging in again.
  4. Try using a completely different device (if that solves the problem, the issue is most likely being caused by the original device).
     
"Illegal Institution - Please try again": If you see this message, it could mean that your web browser is blocking cookies and you need to enable them. University of York has put together an excellent troubleshooting guide for enabling 3rd party cookies.
