Finding a Securities Identifier/Ticker

To retrieve the information listed below for your security you must have the security identifier. For equities the ticker is the most common identifier.

  1. To find the identifier/ticker choose the market sector <Equity>
  2. Type in the shortcut TK <GO>
  3. Enter your securities name and choose the ticker matching your security.

Finding information for your Security or Company once you have the Ticker

Type in your ticker, hit the <Equity> market key then the green <GO> key
For example: IBM <Equity> <GO>

Once within a security’s universe use the shortcuts listed below to obtain data on your security.

For example: Security Description is DES <GO>

Or go directly to the information you are looking for like Relative Valuation (RV)

For example: IBM <Equity> RV <GO>

Financial Analysis

Where can I find a listing of financial analysis data available for my security (i.e. ratios, debt structure, enterprise value)? 

Type in your ticker, hit the <Equity> market key then type in FA and then hit the green <GO> key
For example: IBM <Equity> FA <GO>

Stock Prices

Where can I get the stock prices for my company for the past 6 months on a daily basis? 

Type in your ticker, hit the <Equity> market key the type in HP and then hit the green <GO> key

Bloomberg HP

How can I graph my company’s stock price for the past 5 years on a monthly basis? 

Type in your ticker, hit the <Equity> market key the type in GP and then hit green <GO> key

WACC - Weighted Average Cost of Capital

What is the weighted average cost of capital for my security?

Type in your ticker, hit the <Equity> market key the type in WACC and then hit the green <GO> key

Beta

What is my company’s beta?

Type in your ticker, hit the <Equity> market key then type in BETA and then hit  the green <GO>key

Credit Ratings

What credit rating has S&P, Moody’s, Fitch, Egan-Jones and Duff & Phelps assigned to my company? 

The CRPR command brings up a list of all ratings for a company and the debt instruments it has issued. Equity issues are not rated.For exampleIBM <Equity> CRPR <GO>

Supply Chain Analysis

From whom does my company source its materials? To whom does it sell its products/services?

The SPLC command will connect you to an interactive diagram of a particular company's supply chain. Type the company's ticker (for example, IBM) then hit the <Equity> key, then type SPLC, and hit  <GO>

For example: IBM <Equity> SPLC  <GO>
