Graphene is a thin carbon material first isolated by Professors Andre Geim and Kostya Novoselov at The University of Manchester in 2004. Graphene is a one atom thick layer of graphite that exists in the form of a honeycomb lattice. Graphene is soft, light and transparent but stronger than steel and conducts electricity faster at room temperature than any other substance.
