Factiva is a database that specializes in business intelligence. It amasses articles from newspapers, journals, press releases, market research, and other sources from 200 countries. Its wide berth of publications allow researchers to familiarize themselves with news and other company and industry information.
Old and New Interfaces
Factiva updated their interface in September 2024. This guide contains tutorials for both versions. To change between the interfaces, click the "Switch Factiva" button at the top of the page.
The older version of Factiva has a Free Text Search at the top of the frame and multiple filters you can apply to hone in on relevant information.
The newer Factiva interface (which this guide calls "Factiva Default") has a search bar at the top of the page and lists several of the trending headlines of the day.
