Classroom Books

About This Guide

Welcome to the newly revised Classroom Books guide!

The authors have created a new Antiracist suite of pages, centering Black and Indigenous voices because of the systemic racism these groups have endured, and looking to learn from and incorporate #ownvoices (tag coined by Corinne Duyvis) throughout. Also see Be Antiracist.

In the Pickering Library we have the largest collection of children’s books at Boston University! It is truly a world-class research collection. There are other collections at BU, such as those that the wonderful Teaching Africa Library offers. Pickering books and eBooks accessible through the BU Libraries system are represented here, and you can find more through BU Libraries Search.

As always, this is a work in progress, and we will be working to improve this guide as we move forward.  Your comments and questions are always welcome. Please feel free to recommend print and online additions.
