A woman stands in front of the house which was the entrance to the so-called 'Tunnel of Hope' during the war. This tunnel, dug in 1993, was the only way to get in or out of Sarajevo during the siege by Serb forces. Today 20m of the 800m tunnel are preserved as a museum. Around 250,000 people died in the civil war between Bosnian Muslims, Croats and Serbs in the years 1992-1995, during the break-up of the former Yugoslavia.. 2005.
