2025 Update
Beginning July 1, 2025, the 2024 NIH Public Access Policy goes into effect. The updated policy requires the submission of an electronic version of the Author Accepted Manuscript to PubMed Central upon its acceptance for publication for public availability. This applies to all works accepted for publication in a journal on or after July 1, 2025. There is no longer a 12-month embargo period for this process, but required immediately.
