REMEMBER: For every source you use, you need to keep track of the author, date, title, and source

Your Reference List

The Reference List comes at the end of your paper. It begins on a new page after your assigned paper has concluded and is a required way of sharing which sources you used for your paper. Additionally, it allows readers and other researchers to identify and locate the sources you used. 

For every source, you need the following information if it is available:

  • Author name
  • Title of resource
  • Year of publication
  • Publishing information (examples: journal title, journal volume/issue, place of publication for a book, website link)

Then, we organize alphabetically by the last name or name of the organization. For example:
