African-American Biography

About this Guide

According to WorldCat--the national library catalog--more than 50,000 books and other materials devoted to African-American biography are held by libraries throughout the United States. The B.U. libraries have an excellent collection on African-American history, including biographies, autobiographies and manuscript materials.

This guide highlights selected library holdings in print and online, including books/ebooks, book chapters, journal and magazine articles and film/video materials available to the B.U. community.  In addition, the guide also provides links to many helpful open access websites.
