BU Libraries Materials on African American History
BU Libraries offer an extensive collection of resources related to African American history. This selective guide highlights a variety of useful sources available in print, electronic, microfilm, and video formats. The majority of the African American history collection is housed at Mugar Memorial Library. Additional materials can also be found at the Fineman and Pappas Law Libraries, the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center, and other locations. The collections include microfilm editions of important research materials, such as personal papers, newspapers, and magazines.

Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center (HGARC)HGARC is the central repository for archives, personal papers, and rare books at BU Libraries. The collections include the papers of notable individuals, the records of organizations, and a wide array of rare books.

Fineman and Pappas Law LibraryIncludes law school research collections in the United States, boasting more than one million volumes in digital and print formats, as well as access to a wide array of databases, indexes, and e-journals.
