Quick Guide to Information Sources Online

Featured Website

About

This guide contains highly selective links to free and subscription websites of academic and general interest for the convenience of students and researchers.  Many sites are portals or gateways to more sites on a particular topic or theme. For academic guides to both online and print resources available through Boston University Libraries, please see our Research and Course Guides.

Boston University faculty, staff, and currently registered students can find articles in journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc. using our subscription databases listed here A-Z, by Subject, and by Type (biography, company information).

Boston University alumni, who have an Alumni Account, can access selected databases from the Alumni Services page.

If you are not a BU affiliate, check your local public library for access to subscription databases.  With a BPL - Boston Public Library - card, for example, you can search these databases either remotely or at the library.
