Doesn't BU have the Boston Herald Morgue?
The Pickering Educational Resources Library maintains a collection of newspaper clippings, which up until 1972 belonged to the Boston Herald. The clippings are from a variety of Boston newspapers, dating from the late 1800s to the early 1980s. The clippings are filed by subject and name. The files containing clippings on other subjects are stored in file cabinets and boxes in the Peter Fuller building on Commonwealth Avenue. This collection is available for use by the general public and by the Boston University community. To gain access to the part of the collection that is stored in Fuller, please contact the Pickering Library @ (617) 353-3734 or visit the library for assistance.  The education librarian, Dan Benedetti, can also be contacted directly to answer questions or to schedule more in-depth research consultations.

The Wall Street Journal has separate, regional editions.

Finding Newspapers by Title

  •     Try searching BU Libraries Search by newspaper name; in addition to individual subscriptions, some newspapers that are part of larger collections are listed there.
Unfortunately, searching by keyword will not locate most newspaper articles.

  •     WorldCat Discovery will help you identify regional newspaper collections by newspaper title, which may be available (usually as microfilm reels) through Interlibrary loan.
