WR152: Boston Museums Now!

BULS & BU Worldcat Discovery

  • Boston University Libraries Search (BULS) and BU WorldCat Discovery let you search for books at BU and throughout the world.
  • Type keywords in the BULS search box and use the filters on the right to customize the search results. Example - keywords museum visitors
  • Filters: most useful are Material Types, Publication Date (range), Author, Journal Title, and Record Source (JSTOR, etc.)
  • To find our print books that are available online via Hathi Trust Emergency Temporary Access Service, choose "Available in Library."
  • Browse by Subject (Museum visitors) retrieves books provided Library of Congress Subject Headings.  Use in addition to keyword searching.

Remember to "Sign In" with your BU login. Our online database and ebook subscriptions are available only to BU faculty, students, and staff. Signing in also lets you request unavailable books directly from BULS by clicking a Request button and from BU WorldCat Discovery.

eBooks & Covid-19

eBook records are in the BULS catalog.  You also can search for and within eBooks directly in ProQuest Ebook Central and in our other eBook collections -- by title, if you know it, or with keywords.

Two online resources are available while covid-19 keeps libraries closed:

  • Sign IN with your BU Login
  • Scroll down to Viewability and click on Temporary Access
  • Check Out the book (top upper right)
  • Return Early or Check In the book (top upper right) so someone else can access it.
  • LOG OUT (top upper)
