The Boston Art Commission (BAC) is an independent board of volunteers that approves and commissions innovative and transformative public artworks around the City in partnership with the Office of Arts and Culture.

We are an incubator of new work; a celebration of process; progress in motion. We believe in equitable access to resources, opportunities, and experiences.

Boston Sculptors Gallery’s mission is to provide a unique platform for a select group of Boston- and New England-area sculptors. and to present contemporary sculpture in a variety of media and genres, reflecting Boston’s diversity of race, ethnicity, class, gender, and sexual orientation.

The Copley Society of Art, Co|So, is the oldest non-profit arts association in the United States, with a history dating back to 1879. We currently represent over 300 living artist members, ranging in experience from students to nationally-recognized artists and in style from traditional and academic realists to contemporary and abstract painters, photographers, and sculptors.

The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) builds cultural vibrancy in Boston by cultivating an empowered community of artists, organizations, and supporters. FPAC promotes the work of our artists to a broad and diverse audience, advocates for art opportunities, develops permanent, affordable live-work studio space and ensures that art is an essential part of the life of a creative city.

The MassArt Art Museum (MAAM) is Boston’s newest museum, a space to experience works by visionary artists at the forefront of contemporary art. As MassArt's teaching museum, we are committed to educating and empowering the next generation of artists—both on our campus and throughout the world.

The Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) fosters and champions the role of the arts, design, and arts integration in higher education. Our passionate and generous community shares insights, best practices, tools, experiences, and more. All meant to forward each of our institutions. And all of our work.

Employment in arts and design occupations is projected to grow 4 percent from 2020 to 2030, slower than the average for all occupations. About 37,000 new jobs are projected to be added. Workers will be needed to meet the demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies, television, and on smartphones, as well as to help create visually appealing and effective layouts of websites and other media platforms.

The arts in America cannot thrive without an empowered, connected and well-prepared next generation of arts leaders. For that reason, Americans for the Arts supports the growth of talented young arts professionals through programs like our Emerging Leaders Network, our Art Leadership Classrooms, our national and local convenings, and more.

Our office enhances the quality of life, the economy, and the design of the City through the arts. The role of the arts in all aspects of life in Boston is reinforced via equitable access to arts and culture in every community, its public institutions, and public places.
