Archival Collections

Karl Brandt papers. German-born agricultural economist Karl Brandt (1989-1975) fled Nazi Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1933. He spent the bulk of his career affiliated with the Food Research Institute at Stanford University. His manuscripts, publications, and other materials chronicle his work in agricultural economics from the 1940s through the 1960s.

Joseph S. Davis papers. American economist Joseph Stancliffe Davis (1885-1975) was known for his work in world economics, agricultural economics, consumer economics, development and population policy, and standards of living. His manuscripts, letters, research files, and other materials include his writings and research on food and agriculture.
