How to Use ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research)

Boston University is an ICPSR member institution. Access to ICPSR is limited to current Boston University students, faculty and staff.

Each ICPSR data user must register by creating an ICPSR MyData account. The account consists of the user's e-mail address and a password.  All MyData account holders can download documentation files and data files housed within the topical archives. A second level of authentication is necessary in order for MyData users to download members-only data.

Click "Create Account" from the ICPSR login page.  Once you have created the account from a campus computer on campus you will be able to login from any computer to access your MyData account and the datasets available from ICPSR.

To keep your account valid for Boston University's member access, you will need to log in via a campus computer every 6 months.
