Massachusetts Cultural Resources Information System (MACRIS)
The MACRIS database provides historical and architectural information about buildings all over Massachusetts, including many buildings at BU. The amount of information available -- as well as the date -- varies from building to building. Use the database list linked below to find BU buildings included in the database. The link for each building will take you a page about that building. Once there, click on the blue INV link to download a report on the building.( See the example below.)
Note that many of the buildings are listed under their original name not their BU name, so you will need to know the address of the building. The list also include some buildings along Commonwealth Avenue that are used for commercial rather than BU purposes.
